Why This Exists
I went looking for a straightforward daily briefing on cruise news. Something that would keep me informed without requiring me to watch sensationalized TikToks, sit through 20-minute YouTube reaction videos, or wade through ad-heavy blogs that hadn't been redesigned since 2003.
I couldn’t find it. So I built it.
Cruise News Brief is written for the no-nonsense traveler, trying to stay informed without being overwhelmed. Every editorial decision traces back to that reader.
What This Is (and What It Isn't)
Cruise News Brief is a curation and digest publication, not an original reporting outlet.
Every issue monitors and synthesizes coverage from official cruise line announcements, government travel advisories, maritime incident reports, and established cruise industry media. Stories are selected, verified against primary sources, contextualized for cruise travelers, and written in plain language.

How We Select Stories
Stories must meet at least one of these criteria to be included:
Published on the news date
Substantively updated on the news date
Officially developing on the news date
Newly announced or confirmed on the news date
We do not recirculate older stories with no meaningful new development. We do not treat press releases as news without independent verification. Evergreen destination content and promotional material are not included in the daily digest.
